"So
go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19

Our brother Mark
Klym traveled abroad recently to serve the Lord. He authored a blog which can be found at markinlatvia.blogspot.com!
In it, he included daily updates and pictures! He has also summarized his
trip in this
PowerPoint presentation. Check it out!

Two of our members (Ashlee
Copeland and Mark Klym) are preparing to travel to the Republic
of Latvia to participate in Camp Hope, a Bible camp for orphans only which
is being sponsored by the Chesmont
Church of Christ congregation in Pennsylvania. They ask for your
prayers as they prepare to travel.
To make this happen, each
participant will need to raise approximately $1,800. If you would like to
help with this through a donation to the church's mission team, please see any
member of the mission team.

Why
do we do mission work?
A. Matt. 28:19-20 (Disciple
every nation.)
B. Rom. 10: 14; Acts 17:30 (Points
under local mission apply to every person in the world.)
Putting our
beliefs into action is at the very heart of our calling and it is not just
something that we do in our spare time. Every person in the church as the
opportunity to serve and to live their calling and their lives more
faithfully. When we reach out in this way, using the gifts that God has
given us, we have life-altering experiences. As we move into different
cultures and experience the reality of other societies, we begin to live our
lives with greater sensitivity, understanding, and compassion. This kind
of living and understanding can be life energizing and church energizing.
The gospel should be proclaimed in all nations all over the world.

It is
exciting to be able to announce that Churches of Christ and individuals of
Central Texas have come together to create the support that will enable Lifeline
Chaplaincy to expand its ministry into Central Texas beginning July 1, 2008.
Led by the
Georgetown and Westover Hills Churches of Christ, the effort towards funding to
create the expansion was also underwritten by three-year pledges from the
following Churches of Christ: Bastrop, Belton, Cameron Road (Austin),
Elgin, Hyde Park (Austin), Southern Hills (Buda), University Avenue (Austin) and
Wimberley.
