We have developing a fantastic youth program at the Bastrop Church of Christ. We provide a program that will allow the young people to develop friends, skills, talents, and faith that will last them for a lifetime of service to the Lord. We expect that many of our youth will grow up and move into becoming preachers, elders, and deacons in congregations all over the United States and beyond. We believe that it is extremely important for our young people to develop their own faith while they are young so that they can carry it with them throughout their lives. It provides a stable foundation upon which they can build their lives. As Solomon wrote in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." We try to compliment the activities of the families of the congregation and make it easier on them to succeed in the command by Paul in Ephesians 6:4, "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
On May 3, 2008, we held our first annual Colorado Valley Youth Rally in Bastrop, Texas. We held several breakout sessions, had a guest speaker, and watched a very talented artist from JR Brothers Ministries bring Jesus into sight with a fabulously painted representation of our Savior (see the picture below).

Notice: Throughout the year, we offer many activities that are both of a fun and Spiritual nature. To participate in these activities, we ask that all parents sign a CONSENT FORM (.pdf format) to allow children to ride in the church van to the different activities we may plan throughout the year. Jesus grew in multiple ways (Luke 2:52), and it is our goal to allow the young people to grow wiser, physically, and socially with God and man.
